1. The Linksys ATA device has a really cool configuration menu that we access via a phone connected to the device, so lets set that up first. Connect the power adapter to the ata and plug it in to a power source. Next, connect your phone to one of the 2 phone ports on the ata using a standard rj-11 phone cord.

2. If the device has booted up, you should see the power led lit up blue. This means we can access the configuration menu to reset the device. Pick up the phone that you just connected to the ata and press the * key 4 times. You should hear a voice say "Entering Linksys Configuration Menu".

3. Next, press 73738# and you will hear a voice ask you to press 1 to confirm. Press 1 when prompted. This sets the device to factory defaults and reboots it.

Tips & Warnings

The factory default setting does not have the password set, so be sure to set a password shortly after resetting it.

The ip address may not be the same after you reset the device to factory defaults. Enter the configuration menu again and use the code "110#" to obtain the new ip address.
