How to get the most from the Midwest SIP application for iPhone or iTouch over WI-FI and G3 data.

1. You must sign up for a Midwest SIP residential account HERE! 

Note: Use an email the you have access to on your iPhone or iTouch as the password will be sent to an active email account!  Please be sure to check your SPAM Folder also as the email will be the first you have received from Midwest SIP. 

2. Click on the App Store   and search for (midwestsip) and download for Free.

3. Navigate to (settings) on your device and look for MidwestSIP.

4. Enter the username you specified and the password that was sent to your email during Signup.

5. Back out of settings.

6. Navigate to the Midwest SIP application and launch.

7.The application should say Connected in the upper right hand corner. If not, check you internet connection and try to launch again. Another test is to dial 883510000000091 to iNUM and listen for the echo test. If this works than you have correctly setup the device.

You may also login to the (user portal) and order a DID(regular phone number, IE...16167230100). Look for (Virtual Numbers). Order an iNUM (883 World VoIP number) for free.Then go to (My Profile) and add your caller id (cell phone number so people recognize the inbound number on their phones). All VoIP carriers now require you to have a caller id.  Be sure to SAVE after entering your caller id.

This number may be used to call other Midwest SIP users for free anywhere in the world. Many other VoIP organizations on the planet are using iNUM for free calling. (Here) is the list of available providers supporting iNUM. Skype is set to use iNUM very soon. We will post details ASAP.
